Extra REVIVE info for those booking from St Michael's
Wait... what is REVIVE?
It's an annual festival for all the Co-Mission churches - the planting network which we're a part of. We stay in accommodation at the University of Kent, next to a giant field on which there will be a big top, several marquees, plus sports, an outdoor bar, food stalls, a coffee and bookstall tent, children's activities, creche, and much more!
What happens during the weekend?
We, plus a couple of thousand others, enjoy several sessions together with deep and applied Bible teaching, plus precious and encouraging times of worshipping God in song and prayer. Besides that, there's plenty of time to kick back and relax over food, enjoying the sunshine (hopefully!), attending seminars, watching fireworks, going to silent discos... Children and youth love it because it's a huge encouragement to be amongst so many others of their age, with lots to learn about God and plenty of fun.
Is it expensive? What's this about a discount?
The Co-Mission team work really hard to keep costs down, but the hire of accommodation and all the other facilities does add up. That said, there are some great ways to save:
1. If you book between 13th-27th April, and use the code STMF2025, you'll get a small discount on adult weekend or Team Revive tickets! (NB Enter it in the "promo code" box on the final page, not the "access code" box on the first page.)
2. Another brilliant way to get involved and save money is to join Team Revive, which means volunteering to help with kids and youth, or stewarding, or the cafe, or tech and media teams, or other practical help on site, for a much bigger discount.
3. If you'd like to come but the cost is prohibitive, chat to one of the church staff as there might be some help available.
Should I book for the meals?
Not for the evenings! We'll sort out some tasty dinners on the Friday and Saturday especially for St Michael's folk. For the lunches, it's up to you - pay for the provided small packed lunch, or bring your own - there are fridges/kettles etc in your accommodation, and a small Co-op shop on site if needed.
What's the accommodation like?
We stay in flats of 5 or 6 bedrooms with a kitchen and bathrooms. Each bedroom is lockable and has a single bed. Adults get a room each, and children are able to share by using a camp bed etc. Our St Michael's flats will all be next to each other, with space outside for eating meals, sitting, chilling or chatting over a slice of cake or a glass of wine. Lovely.
Will it be big and overwhelming?
Well, there are a lot of people, but actually we have a great time together as St Michael's folk, with accommodation in the same block, and time to hang out. We can find seats together in the Big Top or other sessions. And if you need space you've always got a room to relax or sleep in!
Great! Where can I see videos and pics, read more and maybe book?
