NO 5.15PM SERVICE THIS SUNDAY (28 June 2026, due to the Revive festival)
WE HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US AT 10.30AM INSTEAD

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our building was built in 1913, and renovated in 2021. It has a blend of the traditional architecture and features, alongside contemporary finishes.

  •  We do not have pews. All of our rooms are multi purpose and seats can be moved. Wheelchair users are able to sit anywhere they like, and are welcome to have seats moved in order to sit in a preferred location.

  •  We have different types of chairs. Most of our chairs do not have arms, but we do have “bucket” chairs. These are often at the back of the hall in a flexible seating area, but can be moved.

  •  We have a lift to the upstairs hall.

  •  We have 2 wheelchair accessible toilets (not changing places) and 3 cubicle toilets.

  • In the future we would love to have a fully accessible toilet equipped with an adult size bed and a hoist.

  •  We have a ramp up to the stage in the main hall.

  •  The entrances have doors that pull to open and can be a little heavy. These doors are open during all our regular services.

  •  The main entrance has a very small lip to be aware of.

  •  The side chapel entrance has a larger lip, and a slightly narrow turning space into the side chapel. The side chapel can also be accessed via the main entrance and through the main hall.

  •  We have adjustable lighting throughout the building. We usually keep our spaces well lit for visibility.

SENSORY EXPERIENCE

Main Hall:

  •  A large space with high ceilings.

  •  Before and after the services it can get loud and busy around the hospitality area. Other areas of the hall are quieter.

  •  During a morning service you may hear some noise from the children’s groups.

  •  We have a contemporary worship band lead us. It can sometimes be loud (though not like a concert or theatre show!) Some members of our church family use earplugs or ear defenders to manage this. We have ear defenders available to borrow.

  •  We have soft purple uplighters above the stage.

  •  We have festoon lights between our pillars.

  •  There is flexible seating at the back of the room in the welcome area. This is a good place to allow movement or standing during the service.
