What We're Excited About

We have been having a terrific time of late with lots of fun things jammed into our church calendar. Here are a few of the highlights!

Looking Back!

Bishop Graham's lecture on the Reformation

Bishop Graham gave us a real treat as we spent an evening exploring what implications the Reformation had and still has on culture, society and the individual.

New Sunday Series

We have enjoyed starting our new Sunday Series which we have called 'Exodus: A Better Story'. As you might have worked out, it's a series in the book of Exodus!

Open Mic Night

Sometimes it's just fun picking up a new musical instrument and giving it a go! We recently had an Open Mic Night. Everyone from the church family was invited to come along and have a go playing in the band. Needless to say the band numbers for Sundays has since grown!

New Courses Night

We launched our new Courses Night. A chance to join others and join the One Life course or the Discipleship Explored course. For more information click here!

It was our birthday!

Bishop Graham Tomlin joined our celebration!

In Jan we celebrated our church birthday! With Bishop Graham Tomlin speaking at our morning service the day was spent praising God for all He has done in our short life as a church.

Christmas at St Michael's

This Christmas was our biggest yet as people from all around the area crammed into the church to sing and celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus!

SMASH Club Go Ice-Skating

Our SMASH club (yrs 3-5) went for their annual Christmas social...ice-skating! Lots of fun was had on the ice with the impressive Hampton Court Palace as their backdrop!

Light Party

On the 31st October we had our annual Light Party. A night of fun games, sweets, fancy dress and an opportunity to hear more about the true Light of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The London Men's Convention

Joining several thousand other men from churches all around the country a group from St Michael's headed to the London Men's Convention in the Royal Albert Hall. It was a hugely encouraging time with stirring music and fantastic talks from the bible. #selfie

Animate's Long Day Out

In May Animate (years 6-9) went on a trip into London to go to the Sorted Nano event. We had a morning of fun, games and some terrific teaching on Jesus' return before enjoying fun in the city as we went up the monument!

Church Weekend Away

Surely right up there as a key contender for highlight of the year. Our Church Weekend Away was a fantastic time; deepening friendships, contesting in the St M'Oscars quiz and hearing from the Bible what it means to be united in Christ.

Our First Ever Play!

We welcomed 'The God Particle' to St Michael's - our first ever play at St Michael's! Written by the award winning co-writer of BBC1's Miranda and BBC3's Bluestone 42, the production explored the relationship between science and faith. We had a terrific time with a packed attendance, fantastic performances and a razor-sharp script to boot!
